The United Methodist Church has stated its purpose: “The mission of the Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Local churches provide the most significant arena through which disciple-making occurs” (From The Book of Discipline of The United Methodist Church—2008, p. 87. To fulfill this purpose, St. Mark’s is involved in several missions locally and around the world.
Malaria No More
The people of The United Methodist Church and our partners are working together to prevent and overcome malaria in Africa by raising money to purchase bed nets and to educate communities about the treatment of this disease. More Info
We also serve locally by purchasing phone cards for our military, filling the Helping Hands Basket to feed those in need and through the Love of Family Fund.
St. Mark’s holds several fundraisers throughout the year to support these missions. The public is welcome to attend our church rummage sale and seasonal dinners throughout the year. Check out our Events Calendar.
